Artist of Spirit

Artists express and interpret what they see. I let my spirit take me to the highs and lift me and then I see things that are worth expressing. I try to catch it in the moment. You know how hard it is to be in the moment let alone express it….but that is the beauty of it.

We as humans are so much more than we think. We are powerful beings and I love to go beyond my limits and break the barriers that are holding me through my art.

I started my life in Denmark living at my grandfathers estate. I was a free spirit and wandered around in the forests dressed as an Indian and was surrounded by beautiful nature and animals and people who loved me as I am.

At the age of 6 I moved to the US and had to adjust to a new language a new life where there were rules to be followed. I started school and again had to adapt to more rules.
I would always be sent to the principals office because my teachers could not get me to totally adapt to their rules and also because most of the time I was DAYDREAMING and not paying attention. I would return to my grandfathers estate in my dreams and really miss the freedom.
At 15 we were living in Puerto Rico and my family went for a holiday to Denmark to visit my grandfather, I decided to stay with him and live on the estate again. He had gotten older and I wanted to be with him and most of all I wanted that feeling of FREEDOM again. I did experience it but it was a different kind of freedom because as I grew older more things were expected of me and again I had to fit in.

This led me to look inside of me and wonder what had happened? Who am I and how do I get back that strong willed individual who was never afraid of anything!!

I wandered the forests and layed in the grass listening to the rivers passing by and wondered how to get that feeling back and as I was laying there I suddenly felt a calm come over me and a feeling of being one with nature again. Being able to hear the animals and trees and grass and water speak to me again…..I was so happy I almost cried.
Helene!!!!! Where are you!!!! My grandfather would call and sometimes I would pretend not to hear him but this time I answered. I am here!!!! Do you want to take a ride with me??? I loved riding with him, He would tell me all kinds of stories. Yes I do and off to a great ride I went.

My life has been a great ride and continues to take me places and I go where my Spirit takes me. I left for Sweden when I was 19 went to Film school and Art School and then I moved to Mexico and now I am in this area of the world.
